Job Title: Scientist II

As a Scientist II, you will have a crucial role in developing innovative ion chromatography column and sample preparation products. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct leading-edge research and development in the field of ion chromatography (IC) and related instrumentation, especially in the areas of electrolytic membrane devices that provide electrolytic eluent generation and suppression for ion chromatography
  • Investigate and explore new ideas and concepts by defining experiments, building, debugging and characterizing prototypes
  • Contribute new product development efforts including prototype design and development, functional testing, prototype and new product characterization, scale up efforts and manufacturability assessments.
  • Collaborate with product management and operations representatives to provide technical support for ion chromatography consumables
  • Contribute to the scientific community by writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, invention disclosures, and possible patent applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent science discipline.
  • With a bachelor degree, at least 2 years of relevant industry experience required.
  • With a Master's degree, at least 1 years of relevant industry experience required
  • Proficiency in IC, HPLC, ion exchange materials, and ion exchange membranes.
  • Hand-on experience on using IC or HPLC instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to accurately plan, define, and manage project tasks
  • Strong ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-paced setting

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $79,200.00-$118,800.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
