Job Overview

As a Scientific Marketing Specialist III, you will have a crucial role in our scientific marketing team, contributing to the success of our scientific products and solutions in the APAC market. We are seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional who can develop strategic direction from market information, and drive new business opportunities by empowering our clinicians and laboratorians through special protein solutions. You are someone who loves crafting and sharing compelling stories and enjoys forming and developing new relationships with our prospects. You have an ever-curious mind, seeking to understand issues and proactively deploy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate APAC MSL activities, with headquarters & regional commercial and MSL teams, in line with growth objectives for APAC territory
  • Coordinate APAC external clinical projects, aligning with company commercial and scientific objectives, production of project plans and timelines
  • Work closely with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to produce abstracts, posters and peer-reviewed articles based on data evaluation from the studies
  • Develop strategic alliance with Associations, Academies & other bodies to enhance brand equity, through scientific programs and initiatives; develop, maintain, and handle relationships with KOLs
  • Take ownership of physician-facing activities pertaining to specified areas in support of APAC business goals
  • Deliver Freelite, Hevylite, Specialist Immunology and mass spectrometry scientific educations within APAC (blend of digital and in-person)
  • Drive campaign deployment and uptake within APAC channel partners
  • Produce standard company slides to align Scientific and Marketing message
  • Provide an expert understanding of TBS assays including verification processes, CLSI guidelines and how these relate specifically to our flagship products
  • Design internal and external communication messages and provide training programs to employees and clients; support in producing promotional tools to support sales processes
  • Maintain key customers and channel relationship using company designated CRM platform
  • Function as liaison between Regional Marketing, Global Marketing and the Global MSL team
  • Support commercial team to collate/structure/update marketing information to produce market mapping, penetration, and business sizing
  • Participate and contribute to other customer aspects of business i.e. technical cases, regulatory affairs, quality assurance using their scientific & marketing expertise

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry or related subject
  • 5+ years of experience in diagnostics sales or diagnostics business development role
  • Scientific experience in areas involving Haematology, immunology or oncology
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English - ability to converse in additional languages within APAC geographies will be highly valued
  • Willingness to think out-of the box, bringing new insights to scale deployment efficiently
  • Digitally savvy - willingness to communicate science through social media and to embrace the use of artifical intelligence (AI) tools
  • Travel within territory and internationally (30-35%) to meet the business requirements; attend regional and international Scientific conferences
