Key Duties and Responsibilities

• As a key member of the SAP Core team, provide support to the business community for SAP in the ABAP Technical Development area. This includes all new projects as well as production support across all functional areas within SAP.

• Provide estimates for the programming and unit testing activities of a project when needed.

• Write new and modify existing RICEFWs, data sources, infosets and queries.

• Develop and support interfaces to numerous legacy and third-party systems using a variety of techniques such as LSMW, BAPI, IDOC, RFC calls, BDC, and call transaction update methods.

• Perform program performance optimization and tuning where necessary.

• Research and apply OSS notes.

• Write detailed user documentation of program functions.

• Cross team communication and collaboration.

• Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Participate in off-hours meetings.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of work experience.

• 3 to 5 years SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA.

• Proven ability applying BADI's, BAPI's, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, Smartforms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV.

• Experience with implicit and explicit enhancements, screen exits, and menu exits.

• ABAP debugging skills.

• Experience in several of the following modules: SD/SM, FI/CO, MM/PP, QM.

• Demonstrable ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high stress environment with changing priorities.

• Strong analytical skills required, including a detailed understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate effectively professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and domain experts.

• Self-managing and self-motivating; able to meet customer deadlines and expectations.

Additional Skills

• Relevant technical certificates a plus.

• Completed at least 1 full cycle implementation.

• Workflow experience, including support and debugging.

• Knowledge of NetWeaver 7.0 experience is beneficial.

• Knowledge of BI is beneficial.

• Experience with other programming languages, such as Java, XML, is beneficial.

• Hands on experience in OData services, development, debugging and problem solving.

• Utilization of Solution Manager-Charm for transport management.

• Good knowledge of SAP HANA Platform, Code to Data paradigm, Eclipse platform.
