Job Description

How will you make an impact:

On a monthly basis develop, analyze, and present a 12-18-month demand plan. Responsible for site demand and supply plan development, capacity analysis with regard to equipment, Labour, and inventory with a focus on averting potential risks in the medium and long-range horizon.

What will you do?

  • Develop a production and revenue plan for the site, including a validation of the forecast load
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Planning and Scheduling processes for the site
  • Develop capacity models and scenarios for new business opportunities.
  • Lead cross functional teams in developing and carrying out plans to mitigate long term supply risks
  • Prepare agenda, present material and facilitate monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings. Involves others in presenting certain agenda items as appropriate
  • Facilitate S&OP meetings with clients to review long term demand / supply risks and opportunities.
  • Perform business analysis as required, including development of subsequent year's production plan for annual Cost & Budget Plan. Develops "what if" scenarios in Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) upon request
  • Serve as SME for SAP in areas of resources, capacity analysis, scheduling, MRP, routings and Excel downloads from SAP and analysis of these downloads.
  • Propose, attend, and participate in personal training and development programs to enhance job performance. Actively support the department improvement projects
  • Participate in North American meetings of Sales and Operation (S&OP) planners for process improvement, system enhancements and other issues as required
  • Track relevant and accurate key performance indicators (metrics) for continuous improvement.
  • Coach/mentor other members in the team
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.

How will you get here:

Education:

College/Technical School diploma in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related business field.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Materials Management, or related business field preferred

Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) CPIM/CSCP or similar certification preferred.

Experience:

5 years of previous manufacturing, planning or scheduling experience using SAP or equivalent "Business Planning Tools".

Demonstrated experience in S&OP and long-term planning preferred.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.

CPIM Designation preferred.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills. Strategic problem solver with expertise in all aspects of the pharmaceutical supply chain. Expertise in Production Life Cycle Management in pharmaceutical industry (e.g., launches, generic entry and discontinuation). Advanced analytical skills in both supply chain flow and client service processes. Proficient in Microsoft Package including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced). Detail oriented with the ability to quickly analyze complex problems and propose solutions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple changing priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Works autonomously under minimum direction to meet project and team objectives. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Ability to recommend improvements relating to processes and systems. Ability to travel between sites within Ontario to provide on-site support as required. Proficiency with the English language.

Physical Requirements:

Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits, or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator on occasionally.
