Job Description

The Research Lab Tech - Full Time Days position offers an outstanding opportunity to join our organization. You will be responsible for receiving lab samples, ensuring detailed data entry, and maintaining meticulous documentation. You will support project managers and clients through detailed administrative and clerical duties, contributing to our world-class research environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and perform all administrative functions related to project management, sample management, scheduling, client communication, and technical documentation.
  • Interact and communicate with project teams to support their administrative needs and meet ambitious project timelines.
  • Contact central lab sites to follow up on services provided.
  • Conduct quality checks and review reports, ensuring accuracy against source documents.
  • Receive and log daily shipments of samples into the LIMS database, ensuring accurate storage and notification to clients and project leaders.
  • Multitask, including lab kitting materials and performing duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience comparable to 0 to 1 year or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Meticulously attentive
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Working Conditions and Environment:

  • Work is performed in a clinical environment.
  • Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, twisting, squatting, and neck bending for 4-6 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movements with coordinated precision.
  • Moderate lifting (15-30 lbs.), with a maximum lift of 35 lbs.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software.
  • Effective communication skills for sharing and understanding information.
  • Ability to perform under stress, with regular and consistent attendance.
