Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a supplier quality liaison between manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, and logistics.
  • Lead the activities of supplier identification and selection process, ensuring supplier quality system and process control.
  • Manage quality agreements and resolve quality complaints between customers and manufacturing.
  • Communicate directly with customers for quality and technical issues, providing support and timely resolutions.
  • Function as a liaison between purchasing, technical team, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
  • Support the process of qualifying and selecting appropriate suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Define and implement supplier outgoing and company incoming acceptance requirements and processes.
  • Develop and implement programs for improving supplier quality in collaboration with various teams.
  • Ensure suppliers have robust manufacturing processes for producing parts.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life science, medical, or pharmaceutical science (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical service environment, or supplier quality management.
  • Demonstrated practice and experience in supplier and product qualification process, system and process audit, and ISO9001.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
  • Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in high mix, low volume production environments.
  • Strong analytical abilities and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
