Location/Division Specific Information:

As part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC site focuses on gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The QC Technician I will be responsible for performing preparatory lab work in support of Raw Materials, In-Process, Finished Products, Stability and Microbiological testing within QC. This may include facilitating all activities related to routine testing that require set-up or cleaning and all non-testing activities that are required to provide QC service to other departments.

A Day in the Life:

  • Clean and organize all laboratory areas including bench, sinks, drawers, cabinets, solvent cabinets, fume hoods refrigerators, freezers, desiccators and storage areas.
  • Participate in ongoing training for the development of skills and responsibility with an emphasis on technology.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: No minimum experience required
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make logical decisions.
  • Strong people skills, team focused.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary
  • Understanding of quality control principles, regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
