Summary:

The Product Specialist supports the development and launch of AI, application, and data engineering products for the Clinical Development Services Division, working closely with a product team to ensure that products meet customer needs and align with the company's business goals. This role is ideal for someone with rudimentary experience in product management or a related field, who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic environment. The Product Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams and assists in managing product development processes from concept to launch, while also handling some of the day-to-day tasks related to product and project management.

This is a 100% remote position for candidates located in the United States of America.

A day in the Life:

Product Support and Documentation:

  • Work directly with product managers, UX/UI designers, AI/data engineers, and other business stakeholders to support the development of new products or features.
  • Assist in creating product requirement documents, user stories, and use cases to guide the development team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and collaboration during product development.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.

Delivery Team Facilitation and Management:

  • Facilitate sprint calls and contribute to discussions on product strategy and development as well as document and drive actions
  • Ensure new product releases meet user needs and are delivered within defined timelines

Product Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Support product testing and quality assurance activities, such as user acceptance testing and bug tracking.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting product issues or areas for improvement.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Help analyze product data and generate reports on product performance.
  • Monitor metrics and KPIs to understand product success and suggest areas for improvement.

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product management.
  • Seek opportunities for professional development and training to enhance product management skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Information Technology).

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-oriented environments
  • Driven self-starter and confidence to work with ambiguity to achieve success.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and creatively in both project/product management and design.
  • Basic understanding of product development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with product management software (e.g., Azure Dev Ops).
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis and familiar with software like Excel, PowerBI, or other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of customer experience and user research techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts.
