To empower and diversify our agile Life Science Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry team, we are actively seeking a highly motivated Product Specialist in Product Management. This position will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with commercial teams and vertical marketing teams to develop strategies to address needs and drive growth in the applied market segment.
- Collect and evaluate voice of the customer (VOC) to develop customer needs for future technologies and demonstrate these requirements in hands-on experiments.
- Translate VOC into product requirements and collaborate with R&D to perform initial hands-on demonstrations of requested features and performance.
- Develop and optimize protocols and methods for LC-MS analysis.
- Support the evaluation and validation of new mass spectrometry products, including workflows and applications.
- Develop applications and application collateral for the novel MS platform.
- Deliver technical presentations to the sales organization and key customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mass spectrometry applications.
- Communicate feature trade-offs and decision processes to deliver outstanding products to consumers.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in high-res LC-MS, particularly in the analysis of biomolecules.
- Comprehensive understanding of mass spectrometric techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Proficient in developing and optimizing analytical methods for biomolecule analysis.
- Self-motivated learner with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple sites.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the proficiency to explain technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- Experience interacting with customers and partners for technical and/or product integration is desired.
- Able to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
- Proficient in English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
