Job Description

As a product manager in Thermo Fisher Scientific's Digital Platforms organization, you'll lead the creation, development, and optimization of innovative digital products, at scale, for one of the largest eCommerce sites in the world. You'll bring delightful products to market by applying design thinking principles with our UX team and achieve product-market fit by iterating and tuning them with our analytics and experimentation teams. You'll think and act like a general manager, prioritizing your investments to increase the value we build for our customers and ourselves. You'll move fast and learn every day and be rewarded by the knowledge that you helped enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Location: United States Remote

How you will make an impact:

  • Conceptualize, identify, and implement solutions for the biggest opportunities to improve the customer experience on thermofisher.com.
  • Help us exceed our aggressive growth targets on revenue, customer experience, and productivity
  • Translate these opportunities into a roadmap of strategies and tactics. Provide clear prioritization using quantitative and qualitative measures, and drive alignment across with your colleagues
  • Define a small set of critical objectives and key results that measure the right outcomes for our products
  • Develop clear requirements that inspire cross-functional partners to build and ship fantastic experiences that delight our customers!
  • You love shipping MVPs early then rapidly iterating and optimizing into a robust product
  • Bring a data-driven, structured approach to problem-solving, and use your pattern matching skills to identify new opportunities and quickly capitalize on them
  • Turn insights into recommendations for experience and process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Collaborate closely with a broad group of colleagues and customers around the world.
  • Use your superb communication skills, business insight, and hypothesis-driven approach to make difficult prioritization decisions in a transparent, candid, and artful way that increases the value customers get from our products
  • Embrace the practice of data-driven product management - you look at your numbers daily, you know your levers and when to pull them

  • 4 years of product management or related experience in a b2b ecommerce or SaaS environment
  • Experience building critically important software products that exceeded their revenue targets.
  • Ability to thoughtfully navigate a complex, cross-functional and globally distributed organization
  • Experience developing products across all device types
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies
  • Upbeat, your passion encourages colleagues to be the best versions of themselves

Education

  • 4-year college degree required
  • CS, MIS, or a degree in science is a plus
  • MBA is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • eCommerce product management work in a Life Sciences or similar environment
  • Familiarity with current web technologies, prior experience as a developer or similarly technical role is a plus
  • Experience using A/B or multivariate testing to optimize conversion funnels
  • eCommerce experience with regulated goods and services (e.g., Medical Devices)
  • Experience working on global sites or apps or international experience

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $113,500.00-$151,300.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
