Location/Division Specific Information

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the development and launch of innovative products in AI, application development, and data engineering while ensuring they align with customer needs and the company's strategic goals. This hybrid role combines the strategic focus of product development with the analytical skills of a business analyst. The Product manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including development/engineering, design, marketing, and change management, to shape product development from concept to launch. They play a crucial role in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring product deliverables are aligned with market demands, customer expectations, and business objectives. Additionally, this role involves analyzing business requirements, conducting user experience follow-up, and providing insights to guide decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.

Although not a direct leader of people this role will also act as a mentor and support leadership mechanism for more junior members of the Product Management team.

This is a 100% remote position.

A day in the Life:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Support the development a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and business critical needs.
  • Support the development of product roadmaps, set goals and timeline expectations, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) when necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and change management teams to ensure product development aligns with business goals and customer needs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration efforts among different teams to ensure seamless execution of product development tasks.

Product Development and Management:

  • Create and maintain detailed product requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Oversee product development/project management, responsible for driving execution of the development process including expected timelines for delivery and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Prioritize product features and tasks based on business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate product plans and progress to internal collaborators, including senior management, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Engage with business collaborators to gather feedback, drive enhancements, and build relationships.

Product Launch and Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with marketing and change management teams to develop product launch strategies and promotional materials.
  • Participate in product launches, including presenting product features to business customers.
  • Support FAQ and training documentation creation and maturation.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor product performance and gather post-launch feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement changes to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Keys to Success:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing) or minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Understanding of product development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Driven self-starter and ability to work with ambiguity to achieve success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to think outside of the box and creatively in both project/product management and design.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in AI/ML, application, data solutions, or software development, product management and maturation.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles & story boarding.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and software (e.g. Azure Dev Ops).
