Join our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center as a Product Evaluation Scientist III. This exceptional opportunity enables you to contribute to development of a unified software platform for chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis. You will successfully conduct rigorous evaluations and stringent testing protocols, driving our world-class software from early development stages through post-production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the product development cycle from definition to final release, as a quality gate-keeper, to ensure it fits into remaining eco-system, and matches customer's expectations.
  • Contribute to test plans by drafting test cases at feature or system integration levels.
  • Implement test cases using actual chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments, performing customer-like experiments.
  • Communicate discovered defects to the broader project team and developers.
  • Continuously study innovations in the field of mass spectrometry and chromatography to be able to incorporate those into test plans.

Successful candidate shall have:

Experience and education

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytical mass spectrometry or software testing, or bioinformatics, or related fields.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Bash scripting (terminal will be your friend).
  • Expertise in Linux and Windows networking (will have to make those two speak).
  • Expertise with environments such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools (daily driver).
  • Proven understanding of containerized applications and microservices.
  • Ability to work in team and autonomously.
  • Analytical, outside-the-box thinking.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with basic software development (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Understanding of proteomics, metabolomics and similar workflows in mass spectrometry.
  • Familiarity with test automation practices.

Compensation
The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €34,700.00-€52,025.00.
