How you will make an impact?
Develops and handles commodity strategies in support of Patheon's overall goals for performance including Right First Time (RFT), On Time In Full (OTIF), Purchase Price Variance (PPV) savings targets, and Quality Assurance Supporting vendor value management programs.
What will you do:
- Builds and maintains positive vendor relationships through open communication
- Support on-site supplier visits and regulatory audits.
- Collaborates with BU (Business Unit) leads and raw materials category team on global and strategic sourcing at both the site level and BU-level.
- Drives site-specific and BU-level sourcing activities, projects and implementations.
- Identifies cost savings opportunities within assigned categories by handling sourcing activities (Request for Information/Proposal/Quote/Bid) with support from the site procurement manager, and in accordance with BU lead to drive cost savings at the site level.
- Handles material master data, material classification, vendor master data and maintain material supply chain accuracy for the site.
- Manages pricing, quality supplier issues and supports documentation requests.
- Supports/leads Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) efforts.
- Reconciles supplier invoices, incoterms and payment terms.
- Participates and/or supports product launch teams, Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) projects, technical transfer projects and commercial products.
- Supports operational excellence and integration projects.
- Handles supplier change notifications and associated tasks required for implementation and closure.
- Support production planning and scheduling activities.
How you will get here
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management or Business preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing/procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
- ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.).
