How will you make an impact?

Under the general supervision of the Procurement Manager based in Europe, the Procurement Specialist II-broker / Secondary Market's primary responsibility will be handling the day-to-day sourcing of Electronic Components. The person will also identify and select new sources, implement cost-reduction strategies, participate in supplier negotiations, and support supplier relationships. This position will collaborate with global procurement, sourcing, quality, operations, and other key functions.

What will you do?

Scale of Responsibilities

  • Support purchasing and sourcing activities and work with critical partners across manufacturing, engineering, and project management
  • Understand and communicate component specifications to suppliers.
  • Identify potential suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery of purchased material consistent with required standards.
  • Facilitate timely communication between internal teams and individuals requesting information
  • Support the procurement manager in prioritizing multiple requests and presenting with the partners.
  • Monitor and report procurement performance metrics.
  • Expedite internal partners and requestors for outstanding information.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and connect with suppliers periodically.
  • Contribute to cross-functional team meetings, implement and share all actions with the team as needed.
  • Supports the execution of global sourcing strategies focused on identifying and contracting with preferred suppliers that meet key business needs and category management goals
  • Drives cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives and supports quality improvement projects.
  • Supplier relationship management data handling and analysis, and perform other related duties as assigned

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations, business administration, operations management, purchasing, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • High level of accuracy
  • 2+ years of working experience in the electronics industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with buying Electronic Components is preferred
  • Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred
  • Proven collaborative style in performing sourcing activities

  • Strong understanding of the specified functional area.
  • Project management and ability to facilitate transformation within diverse organizational hierarchies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to make decisions and tackle practical problems with various variables when standardization is limited.
  • Ability to take the initiative, work independently towards defined goals, and maintain procurement goals at the highest level.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and develop/propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong customer service focus on improving satisfaction and demonstrating judgment, tact, and diplomacy in caring for internal and external customers.
  • Dedicated, results-oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct constant supervision.
  • Knowledge of electronics components procurement is preferred.
