We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Demand Specialist/Manager to join our Sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. In this role, you will have the outstanding opportunity to support procalcitonin (PCT) testing strategies in healthcare settings to advance the diagnosis of bacterial infection and antibiotic stewardship.

This role is responsible for responsible for driving and growing clinical demand of PCT at healthcare settings across the region through discovery, engagement of clinical and laboratory customers, education and training. The person in the role will develop close working relationships with laboratory diagnostics equipment providers in the IVD market, who sell the test to the laboratory.

Territory : Ile de France and Bretagne

Location, remote IDF

What will you do?

  • Take accountability for account profiling, targeting and developing of healthcare providers within designated region
  • Establish relationships with key customers from Laboratory Leadership, C-suite and Clinical Leads
  • Define business strategies aligned with License Partners and related activities on target accounts
  • Gain agreement from key decision-makers for broad test utilization and hospital-wide protocol adoption
  • Analyze account dynamics to understand customer objectives and clinical challenges
  • Deliver education programs through 1:1 presentation and clinical sessions.
  • Cooperate with regional Scientific Liaisons, Medical Affair & Marketing teams to provide clinical insights
  • Represent Thermo Fisher at local, regional, national, and international meetings and events
  • Be accountable to an annual operating growth plan and specific activity metrics
  • Update relevant business data in the customer relationship management tool (SFDC)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare/Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field (equivalent experience considered; PhD preferred)
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience, preferably in diagnostic lab settings or customer development
  • Clinical/scientific background and experience in Health Economics and Market Access preferred
  • Proven record in cross-functional healthcare environment
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and develop strong customer relationships
  • Experience with customer segmentation and account mapping
  • Proficiency with SFDC CRM, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Self-directed and highly motivated
  • Strong analytical skills that coincide with the ability to implement sophisticated demand generation strategies
  • Strong presentation and organization skills
  • Able to establish and develop strong and lasting customer and partner relationships
  • Experience in working in matrix organization
  • Ability to travel extensively and as needed; minimum travel is >50%
  • Proficient with SFDC CRM, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
