Job Description

The Manager of PPI Business Systems is responsible for the implementation of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Continuous Improvement Business System and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) in Latin America. In this role, you will work closely with business leadership and steering committees to establish and mature the PPI Business System, Project Management, and other Lean tools to efficiently manage businesses.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead/work with commercial and functional teams to enhance processes to improve customer experience and spread an action-biased culture and critical metrics.
  • Drive impactful results directly linked to leader's key performance indicators beyond simple problems and projects.
  • Improve problem-solving capabilities within teams to increase autonomy and pace of change.
  • Manage PPI project funnel to guarantee the team is addressing priority topics in the region.
  • Develop a plan to train colleagues on PPI tools.
  • Monitor and report savings and productivity generated from projects.
  • Work with the global PPI team to promote/standardize the PPI Business System further and share best practices.

Experience

  • Extensive experience and a 'hands-on' track record of implementing results using continuous improvement business systems including elements such as:
    • Strategy Deployment, Gemba, KPIs, and value-stream mapping.
    • Advanced project management skills.
    • Expertise in problem-solving applying a formal program/process.
  • A Lean Practitioner mindset with solid experience and a 'hands-on' track record of leading teams indirectly to achieve results.
  • Proven record for developing and training teams.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations, or business, with evidence of operational, leadership, or professional experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish languages.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification desired.
