Are you seeking an outstanding opportunity to join the dynamic and growing mRNA Unit in Monza? Join us! The mRNA team strives to appoint a scientific officer to play a key role in supporting the planning, management, and implementation of all activities to complete internal and external projects within the Process and Analytical Development lab activities.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Participated in technical process and analytical development team meetings. Support in addressing clients' technical questions regarding mRNA and LNP technology
  • Support internal or customer project communications that may reside within single or multiple units, possibly as the team point of contact.
  • Support the preparation of mRNA PD lab Project Plans that meet the required achievements from start to finish. Support facilitating meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure project completion and timeline compliance.
  • Support the Project Management, GMP, QC and Proposal teams in mRNA, Site, or Global for projects, activities and initiatives.
  • Effective timeline management

Requirements

  • Minimum Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field.
  • Familiarity with basic molecular, biochemistry, and/or immunology
  • Knowledge of planning tools (Project and Excel, spreadsheets
  • Experience in establishing relationships with a wide range of collaborators, networking, partnership building and relationship management
  • The ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and leadership, presentation, and facilitation skills are also fundamental parts of the role.
  • Able to work with minimal direction to meet required timelines and be happy working in a multi-national team.
  • Able to demonstrate communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in English, working knowledge of Italian.

Desirable assets

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or biomedical field or related fields of science and innovation expertise
  • A track record of scientific research in the life and biomedical sciences
  • Practical experience or knowledge of mRNA/LNP technology, HPLC/FPLC chromatography, LC-MS, Capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Colorimetric analyses, DLS, ELISA, used to characterize macromolecules, e.g. mRNA, LNP and proteins, at the molecular level.
  • A good understanding of the biopharma development process.
  • Experience in facilitating technical and strategic design processes and developing workflow processes and tools to support research platforms and initiatives
  • Experience successfully running projects with external collaborators/partners, such as research institutes, hospitals, customers or pharmaceutical companies.
