Job Description

Position Overview:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Event Management Specialist for a 6-month temporary cover. This role involves orchestrating events, including conferences, tradeshows, and sales meetings across the EMEA region. Are you ready to enhance our sales team's effectiveness and operational performance?

Reporting Structure:

Reporting to the Life Sciences EMEA Meetings & Events Manager, this position requires collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution. Responsibilities include developing event strategies, managing budgets, and conducting post-event analysis. Can you bring fresh ideas to our events to boost customer engagement?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event strategies from start to finish, including post-event analysis.
  • Foster partnerships with stakeholders for smooth event execution.
  • Innovate in marketing technology and practices to improve customer engagement and sales results.
  • Administer and optimize the Marketing Concierge tool to support commercial teams.
  • Manage event budgets and ensure financial control.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Can you handle complex projects and work effectively with diverse teams?
  • Do you have experience with integrated marketing strategies, particularly digital marketing?
  • Are you an excellent communicator and negotiator?
  • Do you thrive on finding new ways to enhance event outcomes?
  • Are you familiar with virtual event platforms and technical production?

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event or project management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up-to 50% of the time
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
