What will you do as a Med Info Spec Pharmacist II?

As a Med Info Spec Pharmacist II, you will excel in delivering high-quality medical and scientific writing, project management, and client collaboration.

What is the medical information writing component to this role?

We are looking for someone that has experience in Med Affairs writing medical content either for pharma publications or health care providers. Taking medical information from publications like posters, clinical trials, journal articles and condensing it down to clear and concise standard response documents that can be sent to health care providers so they can make informed medical decisions for a specific product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical and scientific writing from planning and coordination of literature search through delivery of final drafts to internal and external clients.
  • Effectively manage pharmacy medical information writing projects to deliver quality products within agreed timelines, demonstrating subject matter and therapeutic area expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to support and enable effective and efficient communication leading to operational excellence.
  • Independently research, write, and edit standard pharmacy medical information writing deliverables across various therapeutic areas.
  • Interact with internal and external personnel on significant matters requiring coordination between functional areas.

Education, Professional Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree with previous medical writing experience in Medical Information content that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3+ years).
  • Experience example: Independently researches, writes, and edits standard medical information writing deliverables across various therapeutic areas. Independently writes more complex medical writing deliverables. Examples may include global or regional standard response documents, custom responses, and FAQs. Provides senior review of documents and training/mentoring for other writers.
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical/CRO industry preferred.
  • Additional qualifications in medical writing (AMWA; EMWA; RAC) advantageous, but not required.
  • Must have an active NC pharmacist license.

  • Ability to accurately work with, manipulate, and format numerical information and data.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and detail information in written English.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, identify cause-effect relationships, and generate effective solutions.
  • Capability to build, communicate, and manage effective project plans that support the delivery of overall project objectives.
  • Demonstrate professional judgment in analyzing, responding to, and resolving customer and partner concerns, enquiries, and issues.
  • Excellent computer skills and good knowledge of document management systems and other relevant applications (e.g., Excel, Outlook).
