How will you make an impact!

The Marketing Program Manager is a critical marketing role at Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will work with a cross-functional team that builds and leads marketing programs. The primary pillars to this role include account management, strategic marketing partnership, relationship building, campaign/program/project management and strong communication.

What will you do?

  • Provide strategic marketing partnership to key internal customers; understand business objectives and present integrated solutions that leverage Group Marketing (creative services, digital, events and regional/commercial) and cross functions.
  • Identify and communicate program scope and ensure critical paths, benchmarks and all objectives are met; prioritize and organize activities to effectively deliver plans on time and budget.
  • Convert program requirements to executable results; develop and help maintain project plans and schedules.
  • Ensure clear definition of success, assess results, and present ideas for campaign/tactic/channel optimization.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external partners to deliver the tactical assets to support these plans.
  • Support development of diverse assets, including advertising (print & digital), emails, trade show materials, video, photography, training, etc.
  • Develop and deliver professional written and spoken communications that ensure team members and leadership have clear, concise, and up-to-date information on progress.
  • Work with teams and individuals to mitigate challenges and resolve issues as needed. Use cross-organizational relationships for support and resolution of issues.
  • Provide guidance to the business on process and standard methodologies.
  • Ensure that all assets meet corporate and brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Facilitate logistical activities to support events and other business priorities.

Key Proficiencies

  • Expertise in marketing communications (i.e. channel knowledge, customer journey, personas, integrated campaign execution).
  • Maintains relationships through open and consistent communication to establish and maintain Business Partners' trust, including setting clear expectations.
  • Highly proficient at prioritizing and leading sophisticated programs, channels and tactic mix.
  • Impeccable delivery of all projects and hitting all established goals on or before communicated/aligned timeline.
  • Consistently communicates status of projects on a weekly basis, creating 100% visibility of project status, expectations, next steps and final delivery.
  • Anticipates, creatively solves or avoids problems vs. simply reacting.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in life sciences or marketing communications; or 3 years advanced degree with equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in life sciences, healthcare, etc. in either an internal creative services Account Manager related role, or within a creative agency as Account Executive/Manager.
  • Experience leading marketing program execution from strategic collaboration through deployment of tactics.
  • Experience with project management or workflow systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriately.
  • Must be able to lead several campaigns, under tight deadlines, working autonomously.
  • Able to work in a highly matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems/processes with resourcefulness in solving problems.
  • Great teammate with excellent people skills and written/verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and accountable.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00-$100,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
