Job Description

The Marketing & Commercial Excellence Leader will craft and implement comprehensive marketing initiatives to improve the value proposition of "One Thermo Fisher" across customer segments such as Pharma/Biopharma, Healthcare, and Applied Markets. This role involves conducting "Voice of Customer" visits to derive insights into customer needs, enabling commercial teams to deliver targeted value propositions, leading customer experience centers, and generating actionable insights from multiple data sources to support growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will provide analysis on demand generation, efficiency analysis, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Program Development:

  • Design and implement marketing programs to promote the "One Thermo Fisher" proposition!
  • Define segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies for specific customer segments
  • Identify and assist in the development of marketing collateral and sales tools to support commercial teams.

Customer Insights and Engagement:

  • Conduct "Voice of Customer" visits to gain a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Enable relevant sales teams to effectively deliver the "One Thermo Fisher" value proposition.
  • Develop and run marketing budgets, leading the development and management of internal operating budgets.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Design and lead CEC to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead development and prioritization of customer segmentation and operationalize processes to accelerate customer prioritization to recommend commercial business planning strategies and tactics.
  • Support execution of Voice of Customer, share insights with leaders, and drive projects that support a better CX.

Data-Driven Insights & Analytics

  • Generate insights for commercial efficiency from Sales CRMs Salesforce.com (SFDC), Government e-marketplace (GEM), New Product Introductions (NPI) launches, and other data science models.
  • Provide insights to enable a better customer experience through Net Promoter score measurement.
  • Deliver insights on demand generation initiatives, and GTM strategies.
  • Support strategic decision-making with data-driven recommendations.

Continuous Improvement Projects

  • Applies knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities / analytics to lead a wide variety of projects with significant, long-term impact to the business and our customers. Participate and/or lead cross functional projects that drive process change and challenge the status quo, driving commercial as a center of excellence.
  • Identify and deliver innovative processes, tools, and standardization opportunities to optimize commercial activities and drive profitable growth.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • 10 -12 years of experience in crafting and implementing marketing programs for customer segments.
  • Strong experience in conducting customer visits and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Expertise in leading CECs
  • Proficiency in generating insights from various data sources, including SFDC, GEM, and NPI launches.
  • Handle, lead and develop team and others, ability to empower and lead team to drive the execution of critical strategies and programs across a large organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with internal and external collaborators.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.

Education:

A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
