Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Manager with a strong background of driving growth and development to join our team in Burlington, ON, Canada. Reporting to the General Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading our Intercompany business, Application and Quoting team. This position offers an outstanding chance to create a significant impact within our laboratory automation business while leading a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product and marketing strategy to drive business growth and profitability. Foster innovative thinking and explore avenues for the growth and improvement of our products.
  • Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs and transform the information into strategic decision-making.
  • Own the Applications and Product teams in developing and implementing innovative laboratory automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely quoting of customer solutions.
  • Work together with teams from different departments to ensure coordination and successful development, implementation of important projects, including "The lab of the Future" and our digital roadmap strategy.
  • Scale our Intercompany business by building a differentiated offering of repeat orders with our partners

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define customer requirements and develop customized applications.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team in positioning our products and solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive the product management function, including product lifecycle management, roadmap development, and new product introductions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to define product requirements and specifications building a differentiated product portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in the life sciences, laboratory, robotics, and automation industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of workflow automation software and linkage to LIMS and enterprise software solutions.
  • Pharma and CRO market knowledge. Preferred experience within a Pharma company or serving Pharma as a client.
  • Project business experience: Understanding of project business and cross-functional interdependencies for successful execution
  • Leadership skills: strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate their teams, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support. Ability to move to business leader role
  • Communication: Effective communication is crucial for to convey ideas, provide feedback, and foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
