Greenville, SC/BPG - PPA

The Greenville, SC site produces innovative resins for process scale chromatography, that deliver speed, efficiency and performance for even the most novel biotherapeutics. These products are used for the purification of biotherapeutics including cell and gene therapies, antibody therapies and vaccines.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Manufacturing Technician I role supports the manufacturing of POROS chromatography resin. Under supervision, this role supervises all operations of designated chemical process to ensure safe chemical procedures, quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements for working with and handling raw materials, production intermediates, and final products. This role makes decisions that involve direct application of technical knowledge.

A Day in the Life:

  • Perform manufacturing tasks following strict guidelines and protocols
  • Operate and maintain production equipment
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure flawless product output
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine process improvements
  • Document and report any process deviations or issues

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Required: No previous work experience required
  • Preferred: Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • This position will require the ability to work a 12-hour shift in a 24-hour, 7 day per week operation to include evenings and holidays
  • Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for 80% of the shift, move ~40 lbs up one flight of stairs, and push 55 gallon drums on wheeled dollies.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, safety glasses, bump cap, and nitrile gloves. PPE may also include face shield, respirator, and smock.
