Location/Division Specific Information
Location: Asheville, NC
Hours: 2pm-10:30pm Mon-Fri (Saturdays if needed)
What will you do?
- Accomplish Manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, implementing process and procedures.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, supervising progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results.
- Maintain staff by hiring, training, and developing for personal growth.
- Ensure systems and consumables are meeting the highest quality by establishing and implementing standards.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform hands on assembly, testing, and training of personnel as required.
- Participate in cross-functional projects for new products and processes.
- Drives Practical Process Improvement (PPI) thinking to assignments continuously driving improvement.
Keys to Success:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment or related fast paced, impactful environment where leadership is required.
- Experienced people leader.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understanding and experience with ERP systems to drive efficient and controlled Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of key technologies including press brakes, lasers and turrets for sheet metal fabrication, etc.
- Experience with 5S, Quality Process Control, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience in improving the quality, efficiency, and cost of manufacturing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
