Manager, Strategic Communications & Thought Leadership

Location: Grand Island, NY, Hunt Valley, MD, Waltham, MA; Carlsbad, CA

The Manager of Strategic Communications & Thought Leadership is a dynamic role designed to enhance both internal and external communication efforts within the Cell Culture Cell Therapy business. This role demands a good understanding of the biotech and biopharma landscape, strong communication and project management skills, and able to develop and complete thought leadership initiatives that align with our strategic marketing objectives and drive business growth.

What you will do!

Internal Communications:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies that engage employees, nurture a positive interpersonal culture, and align with business objectives.
  • Implement internal communication plans across multiple channels, including Business Town Halls, Viva Engage internal social media, leadership emails, and site events.
  • Build and deliver internal communication materials such as newsletters, memos, and presentations.
  • Lead and optimize internal communication channels, including the intranet, digital signage, and email updates.
  • Collaborate with the CCCT leadership team and other colleagues to gather insights and information to craft internal communications.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and adjust internal communication initiatives to ensure their efficiency.

Thought Leadership Marketing:

  • Develop and implement customer thought leadership initiatives that improve CCCT's brand reputation and position the business as an industry leader; Use storytelling to attract and engage target customers with unique and compelling narratives
  • Identify and maximise key industry trends and emerging topics in the cell culture and cell therapy sectors to shape thought leadership strategies and messaging
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, executives, and the CCCT Global Market Development team to build thought leadership content, such as podcast series, whitepapers, articles, blogs, and presentations connected to strategic campaigns and product marketing.
  • Connect efforts with the BCD and BPG communications team to amplify messages.
  • Establish and manage relationships with external partners, industry influencers, and media outlets to amplify thought leadership initiatives.

How you will get there!

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, with a focus on the biotech or biopharma industry.
  • Validated experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies.
  • Experience in crafting and leading thought leadership, initiatives, and content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to tailor messages to various audiences with storytelling.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to translate them into impactful communication strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93,800.00-$130,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
