Job Description

We are hiring a Manager of Technical Maintenance of IT Systems in Uppsala! You will lead an outstanding team and ensure the seamless functioning of our IT systems, aligning with our ambitious business objectives!

The job:

The Manager of Technical Maintenance of IT Systems oversees the technical maintenance, installation, setup, and monitoring of all IT systems within the division. This includes ensuring secure, monitored, and efficient communication between all manufacturing sites. The manager supervises the installation, setup, and technical documentation of systems, manages user management setup, and ensures that all business-critical services are hosted with minimal disruption.

Additionally, the manager defines and monitors service level agreements (SLAs) for the operation of all systems, addressing any special requirements as needed. They are responsible for implementing disaster recovery plans (DRP) and managing backup services for all Windows and Linux servers operated out of the local data center. The role involves leading and developing a team of technical maintenance staff, ensuring continuous education and training.

The manager guarantees that all activities and modifications are meticulously documented and adhere to company policies and guidelines. Additionally, the manager works closely with business analysts and validation teams and oversees secure partner connections for essential business integrations with vendors or customers.

Furthermore, the manager contributes to the yearly business plan, ensuring that technical maintenance goals align with company objectives, and conducts annual follow-ups on the business plan to identify areas for improvement.

What do you need?

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience preferred in IT systems management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team of technical maintenance staff, with a focus on continuous education and training.
  • Experience in applications lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in running both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Solid understanding of network services, including administration and monitoring of local networks.
  • Experience in implementing and managing disaster recovery plans (DRP) and backup services.
  • Familiarity with fault-tolerant solutions and high-availability systems.

Work Environment:

This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to perform maintenance or resolve critical issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
