Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Manager, Field Service. This is a unique opportunity to lead our world-class team and contribute to the exceptional growth and success of our company.

Location: Must reside in The Bay Area

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage the Field Service team to ensure flawless execution of service operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, lead and sustain a strong, motivated team of Field Service engineers and Supervisors, who are assigned to support different service areas and product lines.
  • Create and implement strategies to drive growth and take advantage of opportunities for increased profitability in the market.
  • Analyze complex problems and formulate clear strategies and solutions to drive business success.
  • Cultivate and promote Thermo Fisher Scientific's 4i values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
  • Travel up to 30% to engage with customers and provide leadership support.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in business, marketing, mathematics or sciences.
  • Requires 7+ years of experience; for employees with at least 2+ years in a Management role.

Experience

  • Proven experience in management and leadership roles in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business intuition and the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability in an applied Industry, including a background in service operations, marketing, sales, and business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing a P&L, and leading businesses to profitable growth and market share penetration.
  • Ability to identify customers' needs and provide solutions exceeding expectations.
  • Experience and proven ability to work efficiently in an international environment.
  • Experience working in a multinational company with demonstrated ability to lead effectively and achieve results in a matrixed operating environment.
  • Ability to analyze and assimilate complicated problems to determine effective strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $112,500.00-$168,750.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
