Position Overview:

As a Distribution Manager, you will provide dynamic leadership to multiple departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Your role will involve motivating change, empowering staff, and nurturing a culture that promotes safety, efficiency, and collaboration. You will be responsible for the seamless flow of materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This position is full-time and requires the applicant to be on call when the occasion requires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire assigned staff across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and personal career aspirations.
  • Foster a strong team-oriented culture dedicated to safety, efficiency, and world-class customer service.
  • Promote and uphold the company vision, values, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of materials and finished goods, maintaining quality and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Oversee material storage and delivery, coordinating with internal and external customers to meet unique requirements.
  • Lead the shipment of materials and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide accurate database tracking and operational status reports.
  • Maintain the integrity of databases and records, confirming the status of received materials.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining budget targets aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with all levels of company employees and external vendors to drive efficiency and safety improvements.
  • Lead safety initiatives, partnering with EHS to enhance safety procedures and metrics.
  • Implement and supervise the use of process improvement tools to drive group efficiency and quality.
  • Recommend and develop improvements in operating methods and procedures.
  • Lead and participate in special projects related to receiving, shipping, and inventory control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and empower teams, establish goals, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent leadership and management capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of distribution operations and lean material concepts.
  • Effective conflict resolution skills and the ability to interact with various disciplines and levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement actions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for periods, and work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $87,700.00-$128,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
