Job Description
The Strategy Analyst will design, develop, establish, maintain, and improve market intelligence processes for the Indian market. This role involves conducting detailed research and analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and threats related to market position and solutions. The analyst will perform in-depth and ongoing competitor analysis, compile market information to support strategic and tactical plans, and maintain effective communication with key information sources. The role also involves supporting the annual strategic planning process, product planning, and leading strategic growth initiatives in partnership with the Head of Strategy & Marketing, India.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Intelligence:
- Design, develop, establish, maintain, and improve market intelligence processes for the Indian market.
- Measure the performance of India relative to key markets, customers, and competitors.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis to identify trends, growth opportunities, and threats related to market position and solutions.
- Perform in-depth and ongoing competitor analysis to understand the performance and strategic goals of key competitors.
- Identify areas of vulnerability and strength
- Maintain contacts with key information sources (internal and external) to facilitate effective communication and understanding of information.
- Design, prepare, and submit monthly/quarterly reports to management in a timely fashion and build other reports as requested.
Strategic and Tactical Planning:
- Support the annual operating plan process and link it to the annual operating plan process.
- Design framework, process and templates to measure progress of business strategy through robust lead and lag indicators.
New Product and Program Evaluation:
- Participate in the assessment and evaluation of opportunities for new products and programs by providing appropriate market research and information required.
- Partner with local commercial teams to build robust cases for new product / program development.
- Ensure effective partnerships between regional customers, market intelligence partners, and global product & program capability centers to progress shortlisted growth opportunities
Strategic Growth Initiatives:
- Own the program management of enterprise level strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner with regional teams on growth initiatives that contribute to the country's growth opportunities.
- Help define a plan of action, monitor progress & highlight key support areas for problem solving & budgeting.
Experience and Skills Required:
4-6 years of work experience in marketing research, statistical or data analysis (or academic equivalent)
Proven ability to work with cross-functional and cross-company teams.
Experience in distilling large amounts of data into clear summaries of findings and recommendations for business solutions.
Understanding of scientific instruments or similar technology business strategies.
Intuition for business to get along with various levels of management.
Financial modelling experience.
Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Ability to be flexible and balance multiple priorities.
Self-motivated and proactive in driving strategy and analysis.
Education:
A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
