Job Description

Position Summary:

The Engineering department is seeking to include services of a maintenance engineer to join the team. We provide technical support to the site manufacturing operations and this is an opportunity to work on innovative equipment and systems. You will carry out first line investigation and repair in the event of equipment/services failure related to plant utilities, production areas and office/support areas. The maintenance Engineer will also coordinate the preventative maintenance of equipment as per the schedule! We are also continuously upgrading plant and facilities and this role will assist in that function.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and deliver engineering safe systems of work, perform and coordinate contractors for preventative maintenance activities and routine plant monitoring.

Respond to alarms from Building Management System (BMS) and respond to facilities/utilities breakdowns.

Coordinate maintenance access to production and lab equipment with collaborators.

Carry out engineering technical investigations. and other investigations as per directive from Supervisor/Manager

Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in mechanical, electrical or automation.
  • Proven experience in an engineering function preferably within an industrial environment.

Skills & Attributes

  • Ideally the Candide will hold an electrical workers' registration, this is not essential

Other Job Requirements:

  • Follow EHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe workplace environment
  • The position may require you to participate in on call work. If you are on call you are required to be available for immediate return to work outside of your normal and regular work pattern. Should this be a requirement of your position, there will be remuneration as per the policy.
