What will you do?

Under direction of the Logistics Team Leader working with internal and external clients and couriers to ensure clinical trial products are delivered fit for purpose, on time and with flawless executions for the customer, at the right cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Import Process - review documents and provide clearance instructions to customs for all incoming shipments
  • Export process - raising required documents for all exports out of the UK
  • Accurately entering shipment details to courier ERP to ensure seamless collection and delivery
  • Ensure all relevant order related paperwork is filed in accordance with regulatory and study requirements to maintain Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status
  • Pro-actively handle internal and external client enquiries and issues
  • Monitoring pro-forma invoices for approval with clients and couriers and arranging shipping following up regularly to meet SLAs
  • Responsibility for applications for Certificate of Origin with Local Chamber of Commerce
  • Raise Controlled Drug License applications and review for approval with the appointed UK Government Ministerial Department Home Office
  • Day to day interaction with couriers to arrange shipments and source the best shipping options
  • Interaction with all relevant internal departments to ensure the timely completion of order associated activities
  • Participation in cross functional business process improvement activities as the need arises
  • Providing cross training of other staff upon request from the line manager
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility
  • Delivery of Logistics RFT and OTIF Metrics!
  • Undertake adhoc duties as requested by line manager

Education:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • GCSE or equivalent in relevant subjects
  • Full training will be given to the right candidate

Experience required of/in:

  • Worked within a GMP environment.
  • Worked within an operational environment.
  • Proficient use of electronic and automated equipment.
  • Microsoft Excel & Ms Word experience.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively
  • Clearly and confidently communicate.
  • Written & numerical skills.
  • General admin duties; Filing, photocopy, office housekeeping.
  • Demonstrates an ability to guide and mentor efficiently.
  • A high level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Ensures training needs are met in a training environment
  • Self motivated
