Job Description

Would you like to be a part of the agile R&D team which develops scientific instruments like Gas Chromatography and Mass spectrometers that help in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and environmental laboratories? Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division - Applied Analytical Technologies team is seeking for a Life Cycle Engineer - Electronics, who will join our motivated team and support our existing products from R&D point of view.

Key responsibilities

  • Support of manufacturing sites in case of component obsolescence and shortages, technical issues, defects, modifications and reworks
  • Cooperation with service engineers on the field issues that are design related
  • Engineering changes - ECRs, ECOs processing, BOM changes
  • Qualification of the alternative components, testing on the component, PCBA and system level
  • Redesign of the PCBAs for life cycle or cost reduction purposes (Value Engineering), collaboration with mechanical/electronic/scientist development teams
  • Coordination of activities to ensure that prototype manufacturing, construction, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Drive continues Change Process improvement as well as Supplier Management improvement with procedures, processes, policies and quality assurance methodologies including but not exclusive to new material qualification, end of life materials/components, product development process, supplier requests for material changes and sustaining engineering
  • Active participation in quality circles to ensure production continuity and efficiency and elimination of quality defects in series production

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in any of these fields - Life cycle engineering, Value Engineering, Component Engineering, Design of electronic circuits
  • Knowledge of PLM and PDM systems is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of electronic components and their parameters
  • Experience in testing and debugging of electronic circuits and in conducting root cause analysis on both PCBA and system level.
  • Work in a cost-conscious, effective, and autonomous manner, demonstrating the ability to drive efficiency, achieve goals, and make strategic decisions that consider cost-effectiveness.
  • Effective open collaboration and communication with diverse teams and leadership.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English language.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Office programs.
  • Proven experience with Software for Electronic design and PCB layout such as Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics Pads, Spice simulators etc.
