Job Description

The Challenge + Position

As a Lead Test Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to play a vital role in the manufacturing process of our world-class transmission electron microscopes. In this position, you will take ownership of ensuring that each customer-order-specific microscope is aligned and built flawlessly according to the customer's requirements. With a strong focus on technical challenges, you will be responsible for integrating modules at all levels and addressing any problems that arise on module or system level.

  • Building and testing complete microscopes to ensure flawless performance
  • Following procedures and conducting tests to ensure quality
  • Delivering modules and microscopes on time and with the utmost attention to detail
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of products and related processes
  • Independently analyzing and resolving problems

The Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Middle technical education (MBO) with at least 2 years of working experience or a bachelor's degree (HBO) in a technical domain, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and/or electronics engineering
  • The ability to analyze and interpret physics, mechanics, and software technical data
  • Preferably experience with high-tech systems or a demonstrated interest in technical challenges
  • Strong presentation skills in both Dutch and English
