We provide microscopy, spectroscopy, and microanalysis solutions for research in various fields, including life sciences, material sciences, and semiconductors. Our offerings include advanced equipment like scanning electron microscopes and spectrometers, as well as software suites and global support functions.

How will you make an impact?

As a Lead Sales Development Representative in the Semiconductor Sales Development team, you will support the growth of the Electron Microscopy and Failure Analysis business, by driving market shares through lead generation and qualification. Intellectual curiosity and passion will provide the opportunity to grow within the team, both regionally and globally, as well as across the Thermo Fisher organization.

What you will do:

  • Engage with current customers on new technology and capabilities
  • Explain how our solution meets customer needs in the Semiconductor space which will require extensive research with potential and existing customers
  • Prospect for new leads in new and/or existing accounts and market segments
  • Establish and grow relationships with new customers
  • Qualify and further develop leads
  • Perform monthly pipeline reviews
  • Grow the pipeline by helping to realize incremental sales and assist the account team with pipeline conversion and acceleration.
  • Provide mentorship and development guidance to the entire team with the goal of establishing an impactful team.
  • Find opportunities for targeted campaigns in a specific region
  • Lead specific campaign roll-outs and identify strategy
  • Coordinate workshops and site visits aimed at attracting new customers
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy
  • Maintain relationships with key customers and work to develop them into reference customers to support sales
  • Collaborate closely with the sales organization to enhance business growth by offering outstanding sales strategies and value propositions, particularly for high value opportunities.
  • Timely feedback to product marketing management about market trends and updates regarding competition.

How you will get here

Education

  • MS degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical or business domain
  • Additional MBA/other financial degree preferred

Experience

  • > 7 years of meaningful and relevant experience
  • Leading sales strategy
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry or associated ecosystem
  • Deep understand of failure analysis solutions
  • Building customer relationships, get results and make ethical decisions
  • Track record in delivering results and holding self-accountable
  • Good business sense and commercial knowledge
  • Demonstrates solution expertise and focus on value creation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to generate pipeline and business opportunity leads
  • Ability to sell strategic and new products to existing and new customers
  • Ability to increase our market share by generating new business leads
  • Ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights, draw conclusions/implications, and translate information into product requirements, portfolio strategies, and business recommendations.

  • Collaborate with, and develop positive relationships with, multi-national and cross-functional matrix teams
  • Meeting or exceeding bookings targets
  • Work remotely, to flexible patterns, and with the ability to travel up to 25%
