Lenexa, KS (Kansas City Metro) / Microbiology Division

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Documents daily activities including operations and maintenance of boilers, chillers, air handlers, and RO system.
  • Works with various departments to troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Completes emergency repairs as needed.
  • Completes preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems as established in department procedures and audits required by regulatory agencies.
  • Orders and maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  • Monitors Facilities equipment daily, troubleshooting problems.
  • Coordinates the services of outside vendors when necessary.
  • Identifies existing and potential operational problems and inefficiencies and recommends resolutions.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining required documentation, including but not limited to blueprints, plans, and permits according to company procedures and the requirements of external parties.
  • Documents daily facilities equipment operation and maintenance activities. Performs other related duties as the need arises and/or assigned.
  • A detailed working knowledge of relevant systems and equipment and the related regulatory requirements needed; proficiency in more than one trade.
  • Proven communication, customer service, and technical skills.
  • Position is Day Shift Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Willing to work overtime as needed and participate in planned Manufacturing shutdown activities w/ overtime.
  • Preferred Language is English
  • Technical certification in a mechanical and/or electrical trade

Three years minimum experience in three or more of the following areas:

  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Refrigeration
  • Building Automation Systems
  • Steam Boilers
  • Water Pre-Treatment Systems
  • RO Water Systems
  • Chillers
  • Building Repairs
  • Electrical generators and transfer switchgear
  • Air Compressors
