The position

The Inventory Control Lead is a professional in Inventory Management, someone who has affiliation with continuous improvement, creating structure and getting things done. This role is excellent for someone who loves a global environment, enjoys working with diverse partners and who likes to achieve results through partnership. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Supply Chain (Operations Eindhoven) of the MSD division. You will be part of a strong passionate team with the target to drive operations of our TEM's and DeskTop SEM's to enable growth. You will work closely together with the other Site Inventory Control Leads, Finance, Business Process Experts (Materials Management, Planning and Order Fulfillment), the S&OP Manager, different Supply Chain teams, Procurement, IT and Service globally.

What will you do?

  • Own site Eindhoven inventory management performance standards, policies, dashboards, and process improvements.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization of Inventory Control processes in alignment with our other production sites. Own and lead projects, participate in and provide support for other projects and programs related to Inventory Control
  • Participate in the inventory council, collaborate with the Global Inventory manager and all Inventory Control Leads in accomplishing inventory targets.
  • Report out to Logistics Supply Chain management/ Operations management during monthly site business reviews (via our Operations Bowler)
  • Develop and cultivate close relationships with Finance, Global Supply Chain department, Procurement, Service and IT partners to support, collaborate and implement the various improvements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (Business / Supply Chain) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
  • Preferably Project and Change Management trained and/or certified.

Experience

  • Proven 3-5 years' experience in the field of Supply Chain/Operations preferably in a high mix / low volume environment
  • 1-2 year experience in Inventory Management from Finance or Supply Chain perspective
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent understanding of ERP-systems, preferably QAD
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including communication with multiple levels of management in excellent Dutch and English
  • Ability to lead projects with a high attention to detail
  • Able to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining partnership of multiple departments and sites while maintaining good relationships. Ability to influence without authority and partner cross functionally
  • Enthusiastic, able to empower and influence people to drive reaching inventory targets and real change
  • Hands-on mentality: loves problem solving, gets results and strives to get things done in an analytical, detailed and practical way
  • Is pro-active and encourages continuous performance and quality improvements
  • Can handle stress, is self-propelling and focused

Travel: The role will require incidentally travel, estimated at 10% depending on the projects

Place: Eindhoven, possibility for 1 day remote from home
