The Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries, increase efficiency, and ultimately change the world. We design, manufacture, and support the broadest range of high-performance microscopy and spectroscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.

Discover Impactful Work:

As an Intern EHS you will support the Environment, Health & Safety Manager with the revision and updating of the Emergency Response Policy and plan. The aim is to create a policy that focuses on the international community within the company, in which the organizational structure and expertise within the organization are better used, and in which the connection is made between the Emergency Plan and the Business Continuity Plan, including Business Recovery.

More in detail:

  • Inventory of existing policy documents, procedures, and resources.
  • Investigate expertise, possible roles, and responsibilities within the Emergency Response Organization.
  • Create an updated policy and plan with clear roles and responsibilities including crisis management for each location in Eindhoven, considering the accessibility of the ERT members across the three locations, and supplement the plan with the scenarios not included, such as full power outage, biological agents, pandemic and more.

Education

  • Bachelor (graduate) student in Integral Safety Science.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • An enterprising, communicative, and organizationally strong student who can act practically, but also dares to challenge himself strategically.
  • Available for (at least) 6 months.
  • Looking for an internship.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and have a 'hands on' mentality.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
