Key Responsibilities

As an Import/Export Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and running international shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Handling import and export documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve best shipping methods and routes.
  • Monitoring and ensuring adherence to all international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external collaborators.
  • Handling customs clearance processes and resolving any related issues.
  • Tracking shipments and updating relevant parties on the status.
  • Conducting regular reviews of shipping processes and implementing improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Negotiating rates with freight forwarders and other logistics providers.
  • Preparing and analyzing transportation metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications

To efficiently implement the responsibilities of this role, you must have:

  • Shown experience in import/export operations, preferably within the transportation/shipping industry.
  • A strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Outstanding social skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to closely adhere to deadlines and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian.
