Join a dedicated organization within the Immuno Diagnostics Division (IDD) that is passionate about helping allergy sufferers receive accurate diagnoses, enabling them to control their allergies and live healthier lives. Our business systems are the foundation of our company's ability to lead and implement critical business processes, and we are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of ERP to lead our efforts to implement and optimize SAP ERP systems.

How will you make an impact?

The Head of ERP is a newly built, important role that strategically focuses on bringing to bear SAP systems to improve business processes and drive organizational efficiency. We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge in governance, business operations, and ERP functions. This individual will act as a vital link between the business units and IT departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful implementation, utilization, and continuous improvement of SAP solutions in alignment with business objectives and to enhance overall performance.
  • Be a leading part of our IDD SAP Governance organization and serve on the committee dedicated to establishing an effective business governance model that ensures our SAP systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with our strategic goals, driving operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with and support the global business owner, global process owners, and global process experts, as well as work closely with the company's IT departments and external partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership for ERP systems within governance, global operations, and the supply chain organization and respective teams.
  • Coordinate IDD's development pathway in business systems, governance, and competencies.
  • Establish a strategic roadmap for ERP projects (STRAP) that ensures the division possesses the technical capability to address future business needs.
  • Engage in discussions with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to gain a deep understanding of their current and future business needs for ERP or improvement projects.
  • Analyze existing business systems, processes, and data to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Ensure that the design, configuration, and customization of SAP ERP modules meet business requirements.
  • Apply standardized functional specifications, process flows, and system documentation.
  • Work together with various teams, such as business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful implementation and integration of SAP ERP solutions.
  • Develop competency matrix and training program for the ERP governance organization.
  • Stay informed about the latest SAP developments, mapping ERP features, enhancements, and industry standards to provide guidance and recommendations to clients.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in SAP ERP system implementation.
  • Solid understanding and 5 years of work experience of global business processes in finance, quality, supply chain, manufacturing and associated processes.
  • Documented success in leading governance and ERP projects.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, solution design and project management.
  • Knowledge and experience within a regulatory environment and/or Life Sciences is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive connections.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to work within diverse, multi-functional organizations and teams in various locations while managing multiple projects and portfolios simultaneously.
  • Committed to achieving goals, with a good background in quantitative, strategic, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates Thermo Fisher's scientific values - integrity, intensity, innovation and involvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent required.
  • Genuine grasp and expertise in SAP ERP modules
