Job Description

The Position

In this role you are responsible for the learning needs analysis, matrix development, and the document management system. You will be part of the Service Operations team in supporting the Customer Service, Technical Support, Depot Repair, Field Service, Services Sales and Services Marketing functions for a portion of the Analytical Instruments Group.

We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work in a globally distributed team as well as independently. There is a lot of opportunity for your input as the programs are in early development.

Within the Service Operations team, we develop close relationships with colleagues from Global Service, Training, Product Management and Product Engineering.

Location: This position is remote, posted in more than one location, in the upper 48 United States.

Main responsibilities are:

  • Owning the development and maintenance of the onboarding matrix for all Services functional teams in collaboration with subject matter experts across the product lines supported.
  • Maintaining SOP and WI in document controlled environment (Master Control).
  • Contributing to the design, development and implementation of training programs for colleagues, channel partners, distributors and customers.
  • Keeping up to date with management of document control libraries and knowledge libraries.
  • Conducting initial pilot training courses

People Specification:

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science
  • Instructional Design background or experience will be useful.
  • 1+ years' experience with training coordination and management.
  • Experience with document control environments, ie. Master Control will be helpful.

Personal capabilities:

  • Ability to perform needs or gap analysis and translate into priority matrix.
  • Strong analytical and structured/creative problem-solving skills (thinking out of the box).
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and customers and maintain effective working relationships on various levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously. Self-starter who is also highly productive when not supervised.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Open, transparent and supportive towards others
  • Prepared to travel (max 25%)
