This office-based role is located in the city of Waltham, MA. As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will work within a dedicated Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), providing critical support to our global operations.

A day in the Life:
- Use open-source intelligence and security tooling for potential threats against the company including terrorism, natural disasters, crime incidents, health-related incidents and more.
- Assist in intelligence writing, review and publication
- Support video surveillance, access control, and external threat monitoring
- Handle security incidents promptly and accurately.
- Triage and respond to security and technical support questions, emails, tickets, etc.
- Support GSOC staffing initiatives, ensuring a continuous operation.
- Responsible for the intake of security incidents and referring them to relevant teams or authorities.
Keys to Success:
- Proven expertise in research and analysis.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or former law enforcement/military experience
Experience
- At least one year in a GSOC environment (or law enforcement/military)
- Shown expertise in intelligence, geopolitical, or security-related fields.
- Proficiency in open-source intelligence gathering.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- GSOC and Open-Source Intelligence Gathering experience.
- Tactical and strategic intelligence including an intimate knowledge of geopolitical and security risk and threat assessment
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to critically think and decipher policies and procedures and analytical skills for providing insight into security situations.
- Familiarity with security communication protocols and tools while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Handling highly confidential information.
- Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular computer usage and manual dexterity for occasional lifting.
- Prioritising multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining composure in urgent and pressure situations.
Shifts available
- 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 11pm-7am
- 3rd Flex: 3 Weekdays & Saturday, Sunday 11pm-7am
