Position Summary:

The Production Process & Analytics Business Unit (PPA) in the Chemical Analysis Division is seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This colleague will report directly to the Sr. Manager of FP&A and provide extensive support to our Commercial business partners to drive overall improvement within the financial health of the function, as well as contributing to overall team results and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide dedicated finance partnership to the Commercial team, including supporting initiatives to enhance insight into sales leads, bookings, commission planning and overall selling expenses.
  • Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate business results, variances, and performance trends
  • Support leading core operating mechanisms, including monthly, quarterly reviews and Forecasts in collaboration with the functional and segment teams.
  • Identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing reporting processes using the PPI business system. Promote innovation, automation and data integrity.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses as needed by team leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of direct experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting leadership within a large, matrixed organization
  • Excel expertise with advanced knowledge of pivots, charts, and formulas
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge strong professional relationships with peers, and upper management
  • Self-motivated with a bias for action
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Hyperion or other financial databases preferred.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a matrixed organization across multiple time-zones
