Operations Finance department is managing financially company's clinical trials, which are the main source of operations and revenue for the company. Sofia based office is one of globally spread locations with functions within Operations Finance. You will be an integral part of a talented global team working in a fast-paced environment, in which you will have the opportunity to collaborate with different business functions and to contribute to the company success.
Our team in Sofia is growing and if you are looking for a project-based cross-functional financial management role and not the typical "accounting" role, you have an excellent opportunity to apply for Finance Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Administers regular financial management of projects portfolio or special assignments by tracking, uploading, maintaining, and/or interpreting project information and budgets within the financial systems.
- Performs regular reconciliations and analysis of revenue calculations, forecasting, billing, profitability on a project and/or company level in different internal systems by manipulating large datasets in support of financial control processes.
- Identifies issues or anomalies related to said projects / special assignments and provides a report to key business collaborators detailing the findings and potential resolutions.
- Collaborates with internal team members to resolve financial and system issues in a timely manner, ensures proper approvals and comments and reports audit compliance.
- Supports management in assessing and minimizing the risk on revenue, profitability and/or balance sheet through presentation of database extracts and datasets, tools, models, data analysis and dashboards.
- Takes part in reviewing and development of financial reports, tools, systems, policies and proposes recommendations for process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies and improve the quality of reports and analyses.
Education and experience:
- Relevant higher education.
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience.
- ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Previous experience with SharePoint / VBA / SQL / Power BI / RPA will be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Good analytical and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively;
- Ability to be able to reconcile a large volume of complex transactions, understand complex financial structures and report out the results;
- Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles;
- Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients;
- Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations;
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines while still delivering high quality results;
- Flexible, quick learner with attention to detail;
- Fluent in English - strong written and oral communication skills;
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and presentation of data.
