Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Compensation Information: Starting pay at $21/hr + 15% Shift Differential + competitive full time benefits + annual merit and bonus eligibility, etc.

Shift Information: M-F 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete all batch records and manufacturing documents according to quality system standards.
  • Report equipment issues to the maintenance team or leadership team.
  • Use the inventory management system (E1) to perform labor hour issuing and completion of work orders.
  • Train other team members on techniques and processes.
  • Perform line lead duties such as setup, delegation of roles within the process, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain passing scores on all written proficiency requirements related to the processes.
  • Safely handle chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Work in semi-routine situations of limited scope and complexity, recognizing deviations from accepted practice.
  • Be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
  • Stand for extended periods performing repetitive motions.
  • Implement process improvement ideas and apply lean concepts such as Just-Do-It, 5S, and Root Cause Corrective Measures (RCCM).

Nature and Scope

This position largely interacts with equivalent levels of internal personnel, requiring good communication and customer service skills. Efficiency in this role also requires knowledge of biology, chemistry, and basic manufacturing principles. The ability to understand and interpret team metrics is important. Attention to detail and accuracy are important, as errors could cause customers to receive non-conforming products. This position requires strong attendance performance and punctuality. Training will be provided through one-on-one instruction vital do on-the-job training (OJT) until the operator is proficient to work independently. General instruction will be provided for routine work and detailed instruction for new assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Proven track record to follow policies, procedures, and instructions, and to meet schedules consistently and independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Basic digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing life science company.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven understanding of Microsoft-based software such as MS Word and Excel.
  • Background in biology or chemistry.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or GMP manufacturing environments.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $16.78-$25.17.
