Position Summary
As a Field Service Engineer you will have responsibility for Preventative maintenance, escalations, Handling customer calls, Field service corrections and field service visits, Installations, exhibitions, demo's, in predominantly Sweden, Norway and Iceland. You'll work in close cooperation with the sales team, commercial leads and the other Field Service Engineer in Sweden.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to Senior Service Manager, recording all documentation into Service MAX (CRM) and adhering to QMS processes as well Thermo Fisher Scientific policies and guidelines, Complaint handling, adhering to service contracts and collaborating with commercial team in tender responses and KPI reporting.
- Working independently and proactively and as part of the wider service team.
- Responsible for timely management of maintenance, local spare parts inventory, housekeeping and recording of all documentation.
- Escalating customer issues in a timely manner and communicating clearly to colleagues and piers.
- To work remotely in the field and be available for travel within your assigned territory - up to 75% travel. (with ad hoc international out of hours travel as required)
- Displaying a customer centric attitude and professionalism at all times.
- Support customers with training and participate in internal and external customer meetings as needed.
- Ensure timely update of documentation management (in Service Max system)
- Keep up to date with internal training and take part in other Project work when needed.
Minimum essential requirements
- The Successful candidate will be located around Uppsala or Stockholm (1 hour radius)
- Gymnasium utbildning/ Yrkeshögskola with technical or electrical engineering.
- Background within Electrical/Mechanical/Chemistry/Biomedical or experience in desired field from similar roles.
- Fluent spoken and written language skills in Swedish and English (Other Nordic language is a bonus.
- PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook and experience using a CRM database.
- Customer centric, proactive and able to communicate effectively and openly.
- Clean driving licence.
Preferred Requirements, Experience and Skills
- Sound working knowledge of analytical instrumentation and Field Service experience in installation, servicing, Preventative Maintenance, solving of IVD instrumentation.
- Proven experience in a Field Service clinical environment or equivalent.
- Experience with frequent travel/working away from home an advantage.
