Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Reports To: Service Manager


Group/Division: China Service

Position Location: Hangzhou/Ningbo/Shanghai
Position Summary: Provide post sales customer support such as installation, customer training, on-site repair, preventative maintenance, remote support or technical consultation to ensure customer purchased Thermo Fisher products meet factory standards and customer expectations, thus achieve and strengthen customer satisfaction and allegiance to Thermo Fisher Scientific.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to support CAD MOL products involving: installations, customer trainings, on-site diagnostics & repair services, preventative maintenance, application methodology delivery.
  • Provide remote technical assist, consultation to customers.
  • Accurate document field service activities, including installation reports, repair reports, preventative maintenance reports, and timely submit through the required system.
  • Follow DOA and Hot Account procedures to report issues to related functions, and collaborate to solve.
  • Implement key account strategies for high profile customers and maintain good relationship with industry opinion leaders.
  • Share experience and methodology of product services and applications with colleagues. Help improve team support capacity.
  • Actively participate PPI projects to keep optimizing work efficienc.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or above in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, pharmaceutical, environment engineering or relevant majors.
  • Two years or above working & operation experience of FT-IR and UV. Proficiency with computer knowledge is also required.
  • Preference will be given to those with 2+years field service experience of FT-IR, UV and Raman, previous experience in installing, servicing, and application support of analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong will and interest to diagnose and solve problems on hardware and application of FTIR.
  • Have the ability to work independently, have effective inter personal and communicate skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
