Group/Division: Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group/Biosciences Division (BID)

Location: Remote in Benelux Region

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone that wants to expand their career in technical sales or is looking to develop further within our exciting industry! We are looking for someone who has a curiosity about science and would like to use these skills in a sales role, practical lab experience and has proven sales agility. The candidate will be responsible for developing sales within a defined territory (Benelux), focusing on the Sample Prep portfolios which include the KingFisher instrumentation.

The successful candidate will use product features and benefits to identify and qualify leads, initiate the sales process, and effectively promote the Company's products and services to exceed the assigned territory sales plan.

The primary objective of the position is to build positive relationships with customers, provide instrument demonstrations and work cross divisionally with ThermoFisher colleagues to achieve sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Drive the sales process of Thermo Fisher Scientific Sample Prep & KingFisher™ products and services through direct sales, cross-divisional teamwork, and channel partners to ensure customer happiness, revenue and margin growth.

- Implement the commercial strategies, ensuring they are in line with the global and regional plans

- Develop a deep technical knowledge of assigned and competition's products in order to qualify customer opportunities and perform instrument demonstrations as needed.

- Champion use of SalesForce (CRM) for accurate territory, funnel and forecasting management

- Responsible to achieve or exceed the sales plan by maintaining existing business and developing new relationships.

- Ensure local/country business requirement are met whilst also aligning with business unit goals and objectives.

- Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth, engaging in business development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Life Sciences ideally Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. PhD or Master's would be a plus.

- Proficient in English written and oral, additional languages such as French and Dutch are preferable.

- Strong analytical, time management and prioritization skills.

- Previous experience in selling capital equipment and pipeline/funnel management preferred.

- Knowledge of Sample Prep is desirable, with basic molecular biology being essential

- Outstanding interpersonal skills

- Possess excellent eye for business to expand sample prep portfolio

- Able to operate effectively in a matrixed environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to travel within territory approximately 70% of the time.
