Main objectives and responsibilities:

  • Perform Post-Sales in-house and on-site Support activities such as telephone and email support, preparation and delivery customer trainings, solving and addressing blocking issues, critical issues, and partner concerns, thereby contributing substantially to customer happiness and dedication.
  • Close customer inquiries and complaints, and work with EMEA HID FAS experts to resolve problems and give feedback on technical issues.
  • Help the sales team achieve the business plan by providing timely and professional support. This includes joint customer visits for strategic customers, promoting the value and benefits of our products in relation to their needs and workflow.
  • Pre-sales support activities such as preparation and delivery of demonstrations of our technical solutions and software, seminars and scientific conferences.
  • Establish contacts to key opinion leaders in the field and develop local references. Plays major role when introducing and supporting new products, forensic workflow and applications.
  • Provide intelligence to local and European Sales & Marketing on other technologies and activities, market conditions, customer needs, and product opportunities. Become strong internal Voice of Customer.

Required job qualifications:

  • Requires candidates with MSc or a PhD degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Molecular Biology/Genetics, Bio-Chemistry or another related scientific field with the relevant subject matter.
  • Strong technical skills and confidence, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the scientific community at all levels.
  • Extensive technical hands-on experience (5 years minimum) in a forensics lab environment such as data analysis and/or research & development.
  • Past experience in a support / training-related position or hands-on experience with AB / Thermo Fisher Scientific HID technology is preferred.
  • Disposition to travel internationally and mainly in all Western-African countries
  • Proficient in oral and written Arabic, English, and French language skills.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in ISO 17025 accreditation process and implementation is a bonus.
  • Field work required with diverse environments: driving, customer sites, labs with low hazard chemicals, automation, and computers.
  • Computer and internet knowledge, especially all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of prioritization and able to work independently. Is self-motivated and proactive. Anticipates needs and problems while efficiently crafting solutions.
  • Capability to collaborate efficiently within a team to address issues, discuss solutions, and reach a consensus.
  • Is customer-centric and aware of markets, trends and competitors.
  • Valid driver's license.
