This outstanding opening as a Field Applications Scientist III offers you the chance to contribute to pioneering research within a renowned organization. As a part of this role, you will be accountable for delivering proficient applications support for sales in the clinical market's microbiology portfolio. By collaborating with distributors and end-users across Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, you will have the opportunity to showcase advanced technologies, deliver impeccable presentations, and effectively implement solutions that cater to our customers' requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Agree an annual set of targets by region/system; to meet the targets by selling in partnership with the field-based sales teams and export managers.
  • Provide a forecast of instrument requirements for the year and update the forecast at the end of every sales period.
  • Give expert support to all qualified sales situations, including product demonstrations and management of trials/evaluations.
  • Organize and conduct distributor/end user training, and provide after-sale technical support.
  • Construct deals with the field-based team on various purchase options, ensuring company pricing and margin policies are maintained.
  • Work with the regional marketing team to disseminate our core strengths and product positioning through marketing campaigns.
  • Produce a monthly report of key account activities, including factors affecting sales and competitor activities.
  • Use Salesforce.com as the main reporting tool to detail all activities and opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company/customer/product information at all times and implement all company policies.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Successful track record in instrument system/reagent package selling over at least a three-year period.
  • Graduate or equivalent in a Scientific field of study.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Sound financial skills to help customers develop business plans.
  • Relevant microbiology laboratory experience.
  • Microbiology Systems knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work with customers to make deals meeting their technical and budget requirements, and close opportunities.
  • English proficiency.

Non Negotiable Criteria:

  • Successful track record in instrument system/reagent package selling over at least a three-year period.
  • Technical and sales experience in selling to clinical labs over at least a three-year period.
  • Graduate or equivalent in a Scientific field.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • English proficiency.
