Job Description

Facility Specialist II - Electrical (field) engineer

Key responsibilities include, but not exclusively:

  • Ensure maintenance of the site electrical systems and infrastructure. Ensuring all tasks are undertaken within the agreed timescales. Handle all reactive work requests, ensuring the appropriate, swift and cost-effective resolution.
  • Responsible for the trouble-free operation of electrical heavy-duty and light-duty facility systems and installations and for their maintenance & inspection
  • Electrical systems monitoring and analysis, including provision of any required corrective measures and data collection from meters as needed.
  • Photovoltaic systems, balancing, set up and supervising.
  • Ensuring thermal measurement of switchboards, cable connections and other places of distribution systems where heat can occur.
  • Collaboration with IT department on the distribution of structured cabling, audio-visual distribution and UPS sources.
  • Ensure complete equipment, building, and infrastructure documentation. including up-to-date drawings, specifications, operating instructions, inspections, certification and maintenance records are held in a locally accessible location
  • Project management (design, cost estimates, planning, executions, supervising and handover) of electrical projects.
  • Site Installation Responsibility.
  • Support internal & external audits, ensuring the removal of defects close out action related to electrical system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national and international legislation and alignment to company rules and regulations (IMS and EMS).

Education

  • Technical (min. MBO level 4) electrical or energy technology diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong business digital literacy, MS Office package and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient Dutch and English communications skill - verbal and written.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to perform electrical audits, tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with SCIOS scope 8, 9, 10 and 12 and/ or in possession of certificates.
  • Experience with Installation Responsibility and hold an IV/WV certificate.
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills and ability to work and influence all level of management.
  • Hands on facilities operational skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and safety - including NEN 1010 and NEN 3140.
